High academic standards is the responsibility of all students and staff
IBC's Education Policy on Academic Integrity outlines how IBC prevents, monitors and manages breaches of academic integrity
Academic misconduct or beaches in academic integrity include:
— Plagiarism-appropriately using the work of others
— Cheating- including contract cheating or paying others to do your work
— Collusion-working with others when work is meant to be completed independently

Academic staff at the IBC are responsible for managing alegations of academic misconduct and administering penalties for established misconduct
The IBC's teaching staff will help you learn how to complete your studies while upholding academic integrity, including how to cite the work of others appropriately
IBC Education adopts an educative approach to academic integrity.
Measures to promote student academic integrity include the following activities:
- Onboarding and Orientation:
prospective students are informed of the IBC’s expectations regarding academic integrity prior to accepting an admission offer academic integrity is explained during orientation and academic integrity reminders are posted on campus and on the IBC website. - Learning support:
mandatory academic integrity sessions occur during orientation and an online academic integrity module/s will be available in a range of formats regular learning skills support workshops are conducted outside of scheduled class hours academic services are available for individual consultation on questions relating to academic integrity and academic staff and course documentation provide appropriate referencing and citation knowledge and skills relating to a wide range of text types.
